APPSCREENSHOOT / HELP
A few clear
answers.
Get unstuck, understand where your work lives, and make a store-ready export with confidence.
01Can I use AppScreenshoot without creating an account?+
Yes. You can browse templates, edit a local draft, and export PNG, JPEG, or ZIP files in this browser. Sign in when you want to save projects and assets to your account.
02Where are my screenshots stored?+
Before you save a project, imported images stay in browser storage on this device. When you save to your account, images are uploaded to private project storage and can only be read by the signed-in owner.
03Which store sizes can I export?+
The current catalog includes Apple iPhone and iPad screenshot sizes, Google Play phone screenshots, 7- and 10-inch tablet screenshots in portrait and landscape, Chromebook landscape screenshots, and the Google Play feature graphic. The iPhone Duo sizes are available as preview targets, but Apple has not opened uploads for that device yet. The editor shows the active target's dimensions and count guidance; check the linked store specification before submission.
04How do I export every screen in my set?+
Use All ZIP to download the complete set. The archive contains full-size PNG files, a dimensions manifest, and a link to the official target requirements. Use the PNG or JPEG buttons for the selected screen.
05How do I add screenshots for another language?+
Choose a locale in the Design panel, then open Assets and import localized screenshots. They map to the selected screen and following screens. The preview and export use that locale's images and text; screens without a localized image keep using the default screenshot.
06Can AppScreenshoot translate my captions?+
The editor can suggest translated copy for the selected screen. Review and edit every suggestion before applying it. Suggestions do not change your project until you apply them.
07Are there account usage limits?+
During development, there are no plan-based caps on cloud projects, Brand Kits, stored images, or translation suggestion requests. Uploads still need to fit within the service's technical request-size limits. Local browser drafts remain available without cloud storage.
08Why does the editor show a store requirement warning?+
The target catalog shows current dimensions, accepted formats, screenshot counts, and no-transparency guidance. Google Play large-screen targets ask for at least four screenshots. Review the official requirements linked in the editor before uploading; store policies can change.
