Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and AppScreenshoot, operated by its founder, Rico. They cover this website, the template collection, the studio, saved projects and paid plans. Using the service means accepting them. If you disagree with something here, do not use the service — and if the objection is fixable, tell us.
Who can use AppScreenshoot
You must be at least 16 and the age of majority in your country. If you use AppScreenshoot for a company or an app you publish for someone else, you are agreeing on their behalf and you have the authority to bind them.
What you get
- Free. Browse every template, edit a draft in your browser, and export PNG, JPEG or ZIP files without an account.
- An account. Save projects and brand assets to your account so they are there on another device.
- Pro. Access to the whole collection, including templates marked Pro. Pro is $19 USD per month or $120 USD per year, billed through Stripe. Both intervals include the same templates.
Details of which templates are Free and which are Pro are on the pricing page and in the studio itself. The service is a tool for making listing images; it does not submit anything to App Store Connect or Google Play for you, and it cannot guarantee that Apple or Google accepts your screenshots.
Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, so sign out on shared or borrowed devices and tell us promptly if someone else gets in. Pro is licensed to one account; do not share login details or resell access.
Billing, renewals and cancellation
Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe, never to us. A Pro plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel — that is how we keep access running without asking you every month.
You can cancel at any time by writing to hello@appscreenshoot.com — say which account and which plan, and it is done the same day. If your Stripe receipt emails carry a subscription management link, you can use that instead. There is no cancel button inside AppScreenshoot yet. After you cancel, Pro stays available until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account returns to Free.
There are no automatic refunds, because most problems are not refund-shaped — they are “I cancelled a renewal I thought I had cancelled” or “a feature did not work the way the page described”. If something like that happens, email us and we will put it right, including a refund where a refund is the fair answer. A duplicate charge is always refunded.
If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro until the payment is fixed. Prices can change; when a change will affect your renewals we will tell you before it applies, and continuing to use Pro afterwards means the new price. Prices are shown in USD and are the amounts Stripe bills — we do not add anything on top of them.
Your content
The screenshots, text, logos and brand assets you bring to AppScreenshoot stay yours. To make the studio work, you grant us a limited license to host, store, copy, render and export your content — only to build your designs, keep your saved projects available, and provide the service. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we keep a backup copy for a short time for operational reasons, or where the law requires us to keep something.
You confirm that you have the rights to upload what you upload, and that you will not use the studio to reproduce another company's app screens, artwork or trademarks in a way that misleads people.
Templates and what you may do with them
Templates, sample artwork, device frames and the studio itself belong to AppScreenshoot. When you use a template you are entitled to, you get a personal, non-exclusive, worldwide license to the images you export from it, and you may use those exports commercially — in your app's store listings, on your website, in your advertising, in your pitch deck.
What you may not do: redistribute or sell a template as a template, in our original form or lightly changed; publish our designs as part of your own template product or pack; offer the studio's assets through your own service; strip notices or claim our layout work as your own design system; or use exports to create listings that impersonate another app or misrepresent what an app does. Exports you made while subscribed stay yours to use even after your plan changes.
Pro templates and lapsed plans
Templates marked Pro need an active Pro plan to use. If your subscription ends, saved projects remain available to you and Free templates keep working; Pro designs are locked until you subscribe again. We do not delete your work over a billing change.
Fair use of the service
You agree not to:
- Attack, overload or disrupt the service, or probe its security without permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or rebuild the studio, or scrape the template catalog and assets in bulk.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, harmful or deceptive material, or use the tool to produce it.
- Circumvent plan limits, billing checks or access controls.
- Use our name or pages in a way that suggests we made your app or endorse it.
Changes to the service, and availability
We keep improving the studio, which means adding, changing and occasionally removing features. We aim to keep the service running, but it is provided on an ongoing-effort basis rather than with a guaranteed uptime. One thing to plan around: unsaved drafts live in your browser's storage, so clearing site data, using a private window, or switching devices can lose them. Save projects to your account, or export your files, if the work matters to you.
Ideas you send us
If you email feedback, feature requests or template ideas, we can use them freely without owing you anything, and we will not publish your ideas back to you as your content. Please do not send confidential information unless you have asked us to.
Ending the agreement
Stop using the service whenever you like. To close your account, email us and we will delete it along with the data tied to it — export anything you want to keep first. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if we have to protect the service or other users, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will warn you before suspending rather than surprise you. Sections that are meant to survive — your content licenses, ownership of templates, disclaimers and liability — keep working after the agreement ends.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability. We do not warrant that exports will be accepted by Apple or Google, that store requirements will not change underneath you, or that the service will be error-free. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing content and for checking current store requirements — the help center lists the targets we support and links the official specifications.
Liability
We are liable where the law makes us liable, and not further. To the extent permitted, AppScreenshoot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost store revenue, lost rankings, rejected submissions or lost data. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or the amount the law will not let us limit. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under your local law — and free users are not giving up any right they have by paying nothing.
If your content causes a claim
If a third party takes action against AppScreenshoot because of content you uploaded, or because of how you used the service in breach of these terms, you cover the reasonable costs that follow. That does not apply to claims caused by our own breach.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where AppScreenshoot's operator is established, without displacing the consumer protections you cannot give up in your own country. Before going to court, tell us what went wrong — a short email resolves most disputes, and we would rather fix your problem than argue about it.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top of this page when terms change. For material changes that affect paid plans or your rights, we will give notice — by email to account holders or a clear notice on the site — before they take effect. Continuing to use AppScreenshoot after a change takes effect means you accept it. The current version always lives at this address.
