Use a desktop capture that tells a clear story

A desktop interface has more room for navigation, panels and detailed information than a phone. Start with a real macOS capture at a readable scale. Show the task your application helps someone complete instead of filling every visible area with small text. The included example is a fictional workspace with a sidebar, summary cards and a chart. It demonstrates a desktop composition and should be replaced before you publish your own product artwork.

The device picker reuses the studio’s Apple laptop and desktop display frames, including MacBook, iMac and supported display artwork. Available finishes depend on the selected model. Changing the device preserves your source image and captions. Frame geometry differs between laptops and desktop displays, so check the preview after each change. Use Fit to preserve the capture or Fill when a cropped view better communicates the task. No-frame mode is useful for showing a large app window directly.

Mac screenshot dimensions and display frames

The Mac output presets are 1280 × 800, 1440 × 900, 2560 × 1600 and 2880 × 1800 pixels. These canvases use a fixed landscape 16:10 shape; there is no portrait toggle for this workflow. The device display inside the artwork can have a different aspect ratio. Fitting a capture preserves its proportions while cropping fills that display. The output preset controls the complete exported image, not the native resolution of the laptop artwork.

This page offers 2D Mac frames because those are the Mac devices currently available in the shared studio catalog. It does not fabricate a 3D laptop option. Choose an editorial layout with the headline above, a split layout beside the display, or a full-canvas composition. JPEG and RGB PNG are available with no alpha in the final output. Refer to Apple’s Mac screenshot specifications when preparing an App Store listing and inspect the result at its intended display size.

Customize and export your Mac screenshot set

An example is loaded automatically when this page opens. Start by changing the headline or theme to see the preview respond, then replace the demo with your own PNG, JPEG or WebP captures. You can select up to eight files per batch, with a maximum of 20 MB for each image and 80 MB in total. Selected images can be moved earlier in the sequence or removed individually without replacing the entire set.

Choose your output size before finalizing the composition. Add a shared headline and optional supporting text, then select individual files to override their headlines. Fit preserves the complete source image; Fill crops it to the device screen. Zoom and position adjust the complete device in the artwork. Drag the preview or use the numeric position fields. Generate the files after reviewing your settings, then download individual images or a numbered ZIP archive.

What this browser tool does and does not do

Images are processed in this browser. Your screenshot files are not uploaded by this tool, and you do not need an account to try the example or generate artwork. The demo contains fictional product content intended to demonstrate the controls. Replace it with a real capture of your application before publishing a listing. Processing large images takes more memory, and decoded source images above 32 megapixels are rejected. Keep an original copy of your captures for future edits.

The preview is reduced for responsive editing while the generated files use the selected output dimensions. Changing a file or design setting clears the previous export, so the download area represents the most recently generated composition. A successful export verifies image generation, not whether your product claims are accurate or a store will approve the listing. Check every caption, remove private information, and inspect the actual output. Use the full studio for additional devices, independently positioned text layers and more complex artwork.
